Tourism Activities Associated with the “Vessell Paroo” in Cunnamulla

Paroo Shire Council acknowledges the importance of tourism to our local and regional economy and has a vision to make Paroo Shire an icon of the West.
In an endeavour to expand the tourism offering in Cunnamulla, Council has secured a boat suitable for commercial operations on the Warrego River. The “Vessell Paroo” can accommodate 12 passengers and 1 crew member.

Council is looking to partner with private enterprise to bring this tourism offering to reality. This partnership could include proactive support from Council in one or more of the following ways:

  • Provide expert and comprehensive marketing support;
  • Provide assistance and systems for bookings;
  • Provide training and professional development to an operator and their staff.

Do you:

  • Have a passion for our region;
  • Have a commitment to excellence in customer service;
  • Want to share your experiences and knowledge with visitors to the region;
  • Have a knowledge of the local region and indigenous culture.

If so, Council would love to hear from you.

If interested, please complete THIS FORM and return it to Council’s Customer Service Centre at 49 Stockyard Street, Cunnamulla either by hand delivery, posting it to PO Box 75, Cunnamulla, Qld 4490 or by emailing it to council@paroo.qld.gov.au

Submissions close on Friday 07 November at 12 noon.
