Applications for events/activities are open now.
All requests for assistance and grants must be completed on the below application form.

Assistance from Council can take the form of waiving of hire fees, in-kind assistance and/or a grant.
Applications are open all year round, however Council’s community grants budget may be fully committed before financial year end.

FAQs
What is in-kind assistance?
“In-kind” support is a provision of goods or services from Council rather than a direct cash contribution. These goods or services cost Council money to provide, but this cost won’t be charged onto the applicant. E.g. a Council staff member to mow the grass on the event site. This service isn’t free for Council to do as the staff member’s time and machine costs has to be charged against a specific area of Council’s budget.
Do I have to fill out the application form? Can I just email Council instead?
Yes you do have to fill in and submit the application form. This form can be submitted via email. Just an email with your group’s request will not suffice. If you aren’t confident filling in the form please contact Council on council@paroo.qld.gov.au or (07) 4655 8400 and the Community Support Officer can help you with the form.
Can I read the Community Grants Policy?
Yes, it's available to view on Council's website Here(PDF, 265KB).
Will I hear from Council if my application is not successful?
Unsuccessful applicants will receive a notification letter. If your application is unsuccessful, it is not necessarily due to a poor application but may be the result of the total demand for assistance. For feedback on your application, please refer to the contact phone number given in your notification letter.
Can I apply for a grant for my community group’s event that is two weeks away?
All applications have to be submitted and approved by Council at the monthly Council Meeting (see Council meeting dates), so please ensure that applications are lodged at least two months prior to the event or activity. If your event or activity is only two weeks away, please contact Council at council@paroo.qld.gov.au or (07) 4655 8400 to discuss your application prior to submitting your form.
Do I have to post in my application form?
You can if you prefer, but it can also be submitted via email to council@paroo.qld.gov.au or in person at the CCEC Building at 49 Stockyard Street, Cunnamulla.
I want to apply for RADF funding, is this the right form?
No, RADF is a separate application process as it's money Council receives from the State Government to distribute. For more information on how to apply for a RADF grant visit www.paroo.qld.gov.au/radf.
If my group's application is successful, will I need to submit an outcome report?
No, successful applicants don't need to submit an outcome report, however applicants will need to submit an acquittal form which can be found Here(PDF, 110KB).
