Economic Development Strategy
Work has commenced on an Economic Development Strategy 2025-2030. This work will include community surveys and consultation to capture broader public input. In addition, targeted surveys and consultation sessions will be conducted with business owners and primary producers to ensure the strategy reflects the diverse economic landscape of the region. The resulting draft strategy will then be presented at a Council workshop for review and feedback before being made available for further community comment.

CCTV Cameras
Council resolved to develop an upgrade, replacement and expansion program for the local CCTV camera network for funding under Round 1 of the Secure Communities Partnerships Program – Local Council Small Business Grant.

Eulo and Wyandra Landfills
The CEO will undertake the necessary actions to regularize the operations of the Eulo and Wyandra landfills in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1994 and EP Regulation and have both sites included on the Council’s existing Environmental Authority.

Grid and Gate Policy
It is Council’s intention to review the Grid and Gate Policy at its next workshop. In the meantime, approval has been granted for the CEO to authorize the replacement of priority grids as determined by staff on Tier 1 roads until such time as the Policy has been reviewed.

Pre-qualified Suppliers
A list of ten pre-qualified suppliers of Mobile Plant and Equipment for wet and dry hire was accepted by the Council. The pre-qualification is for two years and follows a marketplace request through Vendor Panel for suppliers to submit tender documents with relevant details for acceptance.

Cunnamulla Fella Image
The Cunnamulla Bowls Club received approval to use the Cunnamulla Fella image on their trophies and hats for club members. The club already had approval to use the image on their uniforms, helping promote the town and shire when playing bowls away from their home club.
