SWQ MAJOR ELECTRICTY PLANNED

Ergon Energy have advised they will be attempting (again) to replace the concrete pole on the Cunnamulla-Charleville line that was snapped in a super-cell storm in late 2022.

Supply to nearly 1500 customers will be interrupted on Sunday July 6th at 8am-2pm.

This includes Cunnamulla township and customers around Eulo, Yowah and Thargomindah.

It’s a huge logistical effort, involving cranes, specialised machinery and crews, and above all, dry weather access – rain has prevented this job on three previous dates from being completed.

While the temporary timber replacement has done a top job in the interim, they are keen to get a permanent concrete pole in place.

The Ergon Energy team thanks everyone for their patience.
