Paroo Shire Council and Kunja Aboriginal Corporation have a strong history of working collaboratively together on various matters.

To further improve and formalise these relationships and to strengthen and enhance the outcomes for all members of the community both parties have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The MOU establishes a respectful framework for collaboration between Kunja Aboriginal Corporation and Paroo Shire Council based on a practical and mutually beneficial relationship, shared values, trust and partnership across the traditional lands of the Kunja People in the Paroo Shire.

Mayor Suzette Beresford and Chief Executive Officer, Martin Leech, were joined by Kunja Aboriginal Corporation board members Julie Fox and Malcolm Mitchell to sign the MOU.

Mayor Beresford and Julie Fox said the signing of this MOU endorses the shared intent of both parties to continue working together in a respectful manner.
