Infrastructure Works

Some infrastructure works to be carried out during February will include the following:-

  • A grader crew will continue shoulder grading north of Wyandra towards the Murweh Shire boundary.
  • Construction of a further kilometre to bitumen seal on the Jobs Gate Road will be undertaken to complete TIDS and Country Roads Connect projects.
  • Construction of two floodways on the southern end of the Jobs Gate Road will be carried out by a contractor under Roads to Recovery funding.
  • Pot hold repairs on the four main roads and Jobs Gate Road.
  • Repair of culverts on the Mitchell Highway north of Wyandra.

Operational Plan

A second quarter review of the Operational Plan was tabled and noted by the Council.  The review showed that ten of the operational initiatives have been completed and closed out whilst progress is being made on most of the others. The plan is reviewed every quarter, and a further update will be provided to the Council in April.
