Another Successful Welcome to Paroo in 2026

Paroo Shire’s Mayor, Suzette Beresford PSM, welcomed over 60 people to the 2026 Welcome to Paroo event held at the Cunnamulla Bowls Club yesterday evening.

Mayor Beresford said the event is “where we come together as a community to extend a warm welcome to our newest residents”.

“Tonight is about building connections. We're here to introduce our new residents to the diverse array of services, clubs, businesses, and, most importantly, the compassionate individuals who form the very essence of our community,” she said.

A Welcome to Country was delivered by Margaret Seckold representing the Kunja People, the Traditional Owners of the land on which the Welcome to Paroo event was held.
