About This Event

The 1000 Hearts Project is a global kindness movement that involves making and sharing small handmade “pocket hearts” as symbols of care, compassion, and connection, focused on improving wellbeing through small, meaningful gestures

Who Can Attend?

It is for everyone - individuals, communities, organisations, and health services.

More specifically, it supports:

  • People experiencing grief, anxiety, loneliness, or illness

  • Community groups, workplaces, and aged care homes

  • Anyone who wants to give or receive kindness

The project is intentionally inclusive and not tied to any culture, religion, or background.

Why Attend?

Participating in a 1000 Hearts event helps to:

  • Promote mental wellbeing through kindness and connection

  • Build compassionate communities and reduce isolation

  • Provide a simple, practical way to support others

  • Create a shared, meaningful experience (making and giving hearts)

It also benefits participants personally, as making and sharing hearts has been linked to healing, mindfulness, and a sense of purpose.
