Welcome to the QOGM 2021 multi-day Experience

QOGM is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster, an annual outback geocaching experience.

In 2021, it will be hosted in the Paroo Shire, based in Cunnamulla.

Commencing Wednesday 22nd September and ending late Saturday 25th September.

A muster is the process of gathering livestock. Musters usually involve cattle, sheep or horses, but may also include goats, camels, buffalo or other animals.  (So says the "Wiki").

Outback Central Queensland is just like that – we have cattle and sheep, horses and goats and even camels.  That's in addition to our native animals - kangaroos, brolgas, emus, eagles, galahs, parrots, lizards, termites, and so on.

In addition to all that in Paroo, we have OPALS.  Let the fossicking begin!

22 September 2021, 18:00 - 18:30

Let's get together in town.

WHEN: Wednesday September 22nd, 2021

Where: Cunnamulla Hotel 24 Jane Street, Cunnamulla.

Time: Between 6:00pm and 6:30pm

Why: To have some fun chatting about what's happening around the area, the adventures getting here ad the caches you found interesting on the way, the caches you hope to find while here and other geocaching stuff in general.

NOTE: The purchase of food and drink is not necessary to attend this event but afterwards some of us are staying on to share a meal together (gluten-free and vegetarian options available).

See you all for a really fun HAPPY HALF-HOUR!

To kick the Muster off, you are invited to attend our Welcome to Country Ceremony on Thursday September 23rd 2021.

This event will take place between 7.00am and 10.00am.

It will start at 7.00am at the published COORDINATES: S28°04.115 E145°40.856 with a Traditional welcome by a local indigenous representative, as well as a Regional Council welcome from the Mayor
