#ParooPride Car Body Clean Up

Avoid a removal fee and have any unregistered vehicles collected free of charge this November.

Old and unregistered vehicles take up space in your yard, are an eyesore, a fire hazard, and provide a perfect habitatfor snakes. Show your town pride by cleaning up your yard and taking part in the #ParooPride Car Body Clean Up.

To save residents the hassle and cost, Council have organised a free service to remove any unregistered vehicles, saving residents approximately $650 per vehicle if they were to ignore a future issued notice from Council.

Local Law No. 3 (Community and Environmental Management) 2011 Part 3 Section 14 states that Council are able to issue a compliance notice to the allotment owner to remove objects such as broken-down cars and/or otherwise fix the problem if the objects on the allotment:

  • have seriously affected the visual amenity of the allotment; or
  • are likely to attract or harbour reptiles.

The #ParooPride Car Body Clean Up service will go from 11 November - 30 November 2019 (end date may vary as it’s subject to demand).

Register your vehicle/s at the front desk of the Broad St Depot or by downloading the form here.
