Show Holiday for 2010
Council recently decided to appoint a holiday for 2010 and following extensive public consultation, it was decided to appoint Melbourne Cup being on Tuesday 2 November 2010. Council carried out public consultation and Melbourne Cup was clearly favoured by the community. The final survey results were as follows:
