Roads to Recovery Funding

The Roads to Recovery Program began in 2001 and involved funding allocations directly from the Federal government to Local government for road works. The Rudd government has extended this Program from 1^st July 2009 to 30^th June 2014. The Fed Minister for Infrastructure (Hon Anthony Albanese) has advised that Paroo Shire will receive approximately $662,000 per annum over the next five years. Funding through the R2R Program in the past has enabled the progression of a number of projects (including Cunnamulla Streets, widening to the Eulo / Cunnamulla Rd, works to Jobs Gate Rd) and the continuation of this Program is very good news.
