Discount in Western One Air Services
Following the collapse of MacAir there was concern that air services would cease. However, the Queensland Government has proven it is committed to the provision of reliable air services to rural and remote Queensland with the interim arrangement with Skytrans in place. The fully flexible fares on the Western One route from Toowoomba to Thargomindah (through Cunnamulla) will decrease by 10 percent, down from $406.35 to $367. The new discounted fares across the Skytrans schedule, are the result of the airline and state and local governments working together to identify service improvements for regional communities.
