Blackgate Road, Yowah...
The Blackgate Rd is a back road off the Adventure Way which effectively provides an alternate route into Yowah from Cunnamulla and Thargomindah. At a recent meeting, council resolved to once again include this road in its maintenance program and as a result grading has occurred this month. Council’s decision to once again include this road for maintenance after many years of exclusion has been focused around providing improved access for Yowah residents, tourists and industry. Council is pressing forward with the Bulloo Shire to see this road become a properly recognized “designated road” which may require some realignment. In the interim though, the community of Yowah is pleased to see the road being maintained again.
