Upgrades to the Cunnamulla Airport Rd Underway
Works are well underway on the planned upgrade to the Cunnamulla Airport Rd. Culverts are in place which will effectively flood proof the road ensuring access to the airport during times of flood. Re-seals to the road surface are scheduled in the coming weeks. Works still to be completed on the project include rehabilitation of the runway and realignment of the turn-off from the Thargo Rd. The upgrade of the Cunnamulla airport and road is a key project for Council and a valuable long term investment in vital infrastructure on behalf of the community.
