Congratulations to the Paroo Education Group (PEG)
The PEG has been operational for about 4 years and is made up of a group of local people with the common interest of providing assistance to young people to further their skills and education. PEG offers bursaries / scholarships and leadership opportunities to youths within the Paroo Shire to achieve this goal. Members of the PEG recently took on the challenge of catering for a motorbike rally in the SW. Through their hard work and initiative they were successful in raising over $20,000 which is a great outcome for the group. PEG will be advertising soon for a round of applications from young people interested in furthering their education / skills and need assistance. Congratulations to PEG for this fantastic initiative and in particular to Trish & Jim McKenzie and Jane & Boyd Bignell who went that extra mile (literally!) in committing to raise these valuable funds which will ultimately support the youth in our Shire.
